Wimbledon ...

The world ranked tennis championships will be held at the All England Club, Wimbledon from 22nd June to 5th July 2009.

According to tennis writer and broadcaster John Parsons, Wimbledon "is the oldest, the most famous and certainly most prestigious tennis tournament in the world". It brings together the game's top players to compete in the only Grand Slam event to be played on grass.

Lambourn is an excellent base from which to visit the Wimbledon championships, and return to afterwards to relax and recall the exciting tensions and sporting dramas of the day.
